Privacy Policy

In short: Azaan uses your location for one purpose only — calculating prayer times and the Qibla direction. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Your location is never linked to your identity and is never sold or shared for marketing.
Who we are
Azaan is a prayer times app published by Getbega Tech Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles information.
Location
With your permission, Azaan reads your device's location to calculate accurate prayer times and the Qibla direction for where you are. Your coordinates are sent over an encrypted connection to the Aladhan prayer times service (aladhan.com) solely to compute prayer times. No name, email, device identifier, or any other personal information accompanies that request.
Your most recent location and the calculated prayer times are stored on your device so the app keeps working offline. If you allow background location access, the app uses it only to keep prayer times and notifications accurate when you travel. You can withdraw location permission at any time in iOS Settings, and you can instead pick a city manually inside the app.
Notifications
Prayer notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data leaves your phone, and you choose exactly which prayers you want to be notified for.
Information we do not collect
Azaan has no sign-up, accounts, logins, or profiles. We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, photos, device identifiers, or usage analytics, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Third-party services
The only external service the app talks to is the Aladhan prayer times API, which receives your coordinates and chosen calculation method to return prayer times. City names shown in the app are looked up through Apple's built-in geocoding service as part of iOS. Neither request includes anything that identifies you.
Data retention
Everything the app stores — your saved location, cached prayer times, and notification preferences — lives on your device and is deleted when you delete the app. We keep no copy, because nothing is ever sent to us.
Permissions
Azaan asks for location access (to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction) and notification permission (to alert you at prayer times). It does not request access to the microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or any other sensitive device feature.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
