Terms of Service

In short: Smack is anonymous, but not lawless. We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Messages are filtered before they post, anyone can report or block a sender, and accounts that break these rules are removed.
Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Smack mobile application ("Smack", "we", "us"), provided by Getbega Tech Pvt. Ltd. By creating an account or using Smack, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Smack.
2. Your account
You sign in with your phone number or Apple ID. You are responsible for activity on your account. Group messages are shown without a sender name, but you remain responsible for what you post.
3. Acceptable use — zero tolerance
Smack has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You agree not to post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that infringes others' rights, and not to impersonate, stalk, or abuse other users. Anonymity is not a shield for abuse.
4. Content moderation, reporting and blocking
Smack filters objectionable content automatically: messages, group names and display names containing hate speech, slurs or sexually explicit material are rejected before they are posted, and our servers remove anything that gets through.
You can report any message from the chat screen, and you can block the person who sent it — blocking hides their messages everywhere you share a group, without revealing who they are. Group admins can remove members.
We review reports and may remove content and terminate accounts that violate these Terms, typically within 24 hours of a report. Content reported by multiple people is removed automatically. You may also leave any group at any time.
5. User-generated content
You retain ownership of content you post, and grant us a license to host and display it to deliver the service. You are solely responsible for your content.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Disclaimers and liability
Smack is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Getbega Tech Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Material changes require you to accept the updated Terms again inside the app.
